Duloxetine (brand name Cymbalta®) is used to treat depression and generalized anxiety disorder. It is in a class of medications called selective serotonin and norepinephrine reuptake inhibitors. There may be a possible interaction between warfarin and duloxetine, although the mechanism of interaction is unknown.1

You should always talk to your doctor before you start or stop taking duloxetine. Warfarin product labeling supports more frequent testing when medications are started orstopped.2
