Some prescription medications interact with warfarin and therefore can change your International Normalized Ratio (INR) levels. If you take prescription medications regularly that could interact with warfarin, a warfarin dosing change may be needed.
The warfarin medication insert provides a listing of all prescription medications that have been reported to interact with warfarin. Also, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) website also includes a list of reported interactions.
As always, talk to your doctor before starting or stopping any prescription medications.
