ActCel gauze will stop bleeding fast and safely. See why this product is ideal for patients taking Coumadin (warfarin).
The greatest risk for a patient taking warfarin (Coumadin®) is bleeding. Bleeding episodes for even minor cuts, abrasions and lacerations can be frightening. Stopping the bleeding is the patient’s first and most important step in the healing process. Patients taking warfarin (Coumadin ®) (Coumadin) experience longer and more pronounced bleeding events.
Welcome to ActCel Hemostatic Gauze – a non-prescription product designed to speed the user’s clotting time and support the body’s natural clotting process, this in turn, reduces the bleeding time.
ActCel’s "advance bleeding control™" features practical benefits for all patients including those taking warfarin.

ActCel is a gauze material with no chemical additives. When placed on a wound it expands and transforms into a gel-like material that, in a one to two week period of time dissolves.
No influence on blood test results
ActCel works from the outside in and has no influence on internal clotting factors. Therefore, ActCel will not alter the effects of Coumadin or influence blood test results.
The product’s four steps [adherence, expansion, transformation, and ability to dissolve] make ActCel gauze a practical choice for all patients taking anticoagulants. The advanced packaging guarantees product sterility and provides easy storage making this first aid product simple to travel with.
Patients taking any blood “thinning” products are instructed to apply constant pressure over the gauze for best results and not remove it. If the gauze becomes blood-soaked - a second gauze pad should be applied over the first as needed.
Patients should report any injury to their healthcare provider and have it evaluated for the potential for infection. ActCel is not a substitute for professional first aid or evaluation but a valuable first response for any person experiencing a bleeding event.
You can get the ActCel Hemostatic Gauze from QAS in a convenient, individually wrapped 5 pack and 20 pack.
