Many insurance companies will pay for home testing. In fact, Medicare will cover home PT-INR monitoring for anticoagulation management for patients with mechanical heart valves, atrial fibrillation, and DVT.
The insurance staff at QAS will be happy to assist you in submitting your request to monitor at home to your insurance company and follow it each step of the way. QAS is the industry leader in getting patients fully or partially reimbursed for their home testing expenses.
For those with no insurance the monitor and test strips can be purchased (following a physician's prescription submitted to QAS) in cash with a flexible payment plan. Contact QAS for further details.
